PRESS RELEASE, FOR IMMEDIATE USE

MARMAS PRODUCTIONS CROWNS FIVE NATIONAL PAGEANT WINNERS IN LAS VEGAS

Contestants from around the country convened on stage at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada August 12, 2007. Contestants competed for five National titles: Miss Pre-Teen of the Nation (ages 9-12), Miss Teen of the Nation (ages 13-19), Ms. American Woman (ages 20-34), Ms. Lady of America (ages 35-49), and Ms. Classic American Woman (age 50 and over). Over $25,000 in prizes were awarded to the winners and runners-up. Contestants were judged in three equal categories: Personality, Beauty and Figure. After four days of intense rehearsals and preliminaries, the top finalists in each division were interviewed on stage then competed in evening gown and swimwear. The judges then selected five new queens.

The 2007 Miss Pre-Teen of the Nation is Alexandra Lariiciuc from Waldorf, Maryland. Alexandra is 12 years old 4’7” tall and has blonde hair and blue eyes. She enjoys belly-dancing, singing, hiking and playing with her dog Louie.  "I would like to thank everyone on the Marmas staff, for making this a wonderful experience for all of the contestants. Thank you to Mr. Marmas for taking care of the contestants, and thank you for an experience that I will remember for the rest of my life."

The new Miss Teen of the Nation is Christyn Richardson, a personal trainer and student from San Pablo, California. "It is such an honor to be selected as Miss Teen of the Nation 2007. It is an absolute dream come true for me. I look forward to serving as a role model for young women everywhere and doing my part to inspire them to realize their goals and be all that they can. I also look forward to continuing my advocacy for healthful living". Christyn will be attending UC Riverside in the Fall of 2007.

Omolara Odofin from Walnut Creek, California is the 2007 Ms. American Woman winner. Omolara is the 26th fastest woman in the United States in the 100 meter dash, this was her first pageant. “I am still on a natural high after winning Ms. American Women, 2007!  I didn't know what to expect…I thought I would not get along with the beauty pageant world, but I loved it.  All the ladies were as kind as they could be.  Beauty pageants really build up your self-esteem and cause you to use inner strength you may never know you have!  I'd strongly recommend a John Marmas production to anyone I know.” .

The very first Ms. Lady of America is Susan Jackson, a 5th grade math teacher, and award-winning chef from Phillips, Wisconsin. “By far this is one of the most fun national pageants I have participated in.  It is so well organized, timely, the contestants are extremely well fed, there is ample time to prepare for each aspect of competition, and stress free choreography.  All of these great qualities, combined with plenty of time to visit with family and friends, makes this my number one recommendation for a “must do” pageant.”

The 2007 Ms. Classic American Woman queen is Barbara Frye, from Estero, Florida. “Thanks so much for the opportunity for an exciting moment that took me three times to achieve this crown. 10 years ago I entered this pageant with little experience in the pageant world and placed 1st runner up.  Then I tried again, placed 2nd runner up.  Then I came back for the 3rd time and won.  Thank you  John Marmas!” Barbara is the national spokesperson for the “buckle up campaign”.
